On Sunday 8 June, we held our monthly AstroliJam. This month’s subject was Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost, newly elected leader of the Catholic Church.

Without a recorded time of birth, we used life events and personality traits to hypothesize a possible rising sign for natal chart interpretation. We explored cards of truth, timing techniques, transits, and even the Sidereal perspective to refine the chart further. It makes sense as we have so many planet leaving Tropical Pisces and entering Tropical Aries this year. Vedic Astrology is so strong in predictive techniques like Vimshottari Dasa cycles, planetary maturity, planetary ages, Nodes, and Varshaphal, that transits often receive less emphasis—sometimes leaving us feeling "out of the loop" with what’s happening in the skies above. That’s where our Moon and Transits group comes in. It was a natural evolution of our Varshaphal Word-of-the-Year study group in 2023–2024, and has become a collaborative space where we share experiences and observations to bridge this gap.
